Medical and Compliance Disclaimer

1. Templates only - not advice

Wardour documents, workbooks, guides, samples and website content (the "Materials") are general templates and information only. They are not legal, clinical, medical, regulatory, employment, health and safety, data protection or other professional advice, and must not be relied on as such. They are not a substitute for advice from a suitably qualified professional who knows your service. No adviser-client or clinical relationship is created by buying or using them.

2. Not for decisions about individual patients

Nothing in the Materials is clinical guidance for the care of any individual. Clinical procedures in the Materials (for example sample collection, medicines, medical emergencies or laboratory quality control) are frameworks that your organisation must check against current national guidance, manufacturers' instructions, your clinical leads and, where relevant, your laboratory partners before adoption. In an emergency, follow current Resuscitation Council UK and NHS guidance and call 999.

3. You are solely responsible

Your organisation is solely responsible for deciding whether the Materials are suitable; for adapting, completing, verifying and approving every document before use; for implementing them, training staff and monitoring compliance; for keeping them up to date; and for the services and care you provide and your compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations.

4. No guarantee of outcome

The Care Quality Commission, UKAS, commissioners and other bodies make their own decisions. Buying or using the Materials does not guarantee CQC registration, any CQC rating or assessment outcome, UKAS accreditation, a contract award, or compliance with any law, regulation or standard. Inspectors and assessors look for evidence that your policies are understood and followed in practice, which only your organisation can provide. CQC and UKAS do not approve or endorse templates, including ours.

5. No warranty that content is current or complete

The Materials reflect law, regulations, CQC frameworks and standards as we understood them at the date stated in the Materials (October 2026 for version 1.0). Law and guidance change - for example, CQC consulted in 2025-26 on replacing its single assessment framework with sector-specific frameworks. We give no warranty that the Materials are accurate, complete, error-free or current after that date, or that they cover every requirement that applies to your service.

6. Standards and third-party content

The Materials refer to, but do not reproduce, copyright standards such as ISO 15189:2022 and guidance from bodies such as CQC, UKHSA, NHS England, HSE and the MHRA. Obtain your own licensed copy of any standard you work to. Links and references are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for third-party content or for changes to it.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill or data; regulatory fines, penalties or enforcement costs; claims by patients, service users or other third parties; and any indirect or consequential loss - and our total aggregate liability is limited to the price you paid for the Materials concerned - as set out in full in our Terms of Sale and Licence Agreement. Nothing in this disclaimer or those terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
